Teresa & Jay’s wedding was on quite possibly the hottest day of this year. Even with the terrible heat, it was a beautiful day at The Antique Rose Emporium. The lighting out there was fabulous and we got a lot of really great shots. There were also some awesome DIY details including Teresa’s favorite pumps that she glittered for her something blue for the wedding. Congrats Guys!

I love just love color and every aspect of putting a wedding scheme together. Below are Pantone’s most popular colors predicted for Spring 2011. A lot of these are favorites that I saw in many of my 2011 weddings. For 2011, purple and green was a favorite among my brides for Spring and Fall and by far the most used color scheme. I also saw a lot of the grays, dusty pinks and the still ever popular turquoise. I don’t think turquoise is going anywhere for awhile.

I am very excited to see what color schemes my brides come up with year. Here are few color combinations I put together with the 2012 projected color trends. I am noticing an new trend among my brides of having more than 2 colors in their schemes, which I think is awesome. Some have had up to 4 or 5 colors in their pallets.

My predictions for 2012:

Gone our the traditional black suites. I think we are going to see a lot of grays, browns and kaki.  Your going to see a lot of mason jars, milk glass, burlap and cute DYI wedding projects. Vintage, Shabby Chic colors and themes are here to stay for at least another couple of seasons. Yellow is my favorite new color to think about for 2012. It is vibrant, happy and will give a pop to any color palette. I also love that it can be used successfully in any wedding theme: modern, retro, vintage and shabby chic. Here a few examples of yellow color pallets for 2012.

I have to say this was one of my favorite weddings this year. Vista West Ranch is such an awesome venue and they have some many great props including a vintage car & truck. Petal pushers really set the scene and captured Lacey’s vintage chic theme wedding with beautiful old bottles, jars and romantic flowers in different shades of pink, orange & white. Lacey and Johnny were the most fabulous couple to work with. The nicest people you will ever meet and perfect for each other in every way. Congrats guys!

Lindsey & Blaine were married at High Lonesome Ranch on March 19, 2011. Blaine and Lindsey are avid outdoors people and love to fish and hunt, so High Lonesome made the perfect setting for their ranch wedding. This was the first wedding ever held at Blaine’s family ranch, but I am sure it won’t be the last because it it made a wonderful venue. Blaine’s Grandparents assembled a Old West Town on the property that is usually used for sleeping quarters for visiting guest and corporate hunting events. This facility is a hunting enthusiast dream and includes: real home cooked meals in The Longhorn Café, bar in the Red Horse Saloon, a theater for movies, videos or TV, pool table, skeet range, shooting range, swimming pool, large party facility, conference room and a relaxing hunter’s fire pit area. Blaine & Lindsey chose the earthy outdoors colors of green and chocolate to go with their ranch/hunting wedding theme and had beer cozies and antler ear bottle openers for wedding favors as well as a camouflage groom’s cake with fondant shaped bullets, a rifle & shells. This was a really fun bunch and they ended the night with beer keg stands!
