I love just love color and every aspect of putting a wedding scheme together. Below are Pantone’s most popular colors predicted for Spring 2011. A lot of these are favorites that I saw in many of my 2011 weddings. For 2011, purple and green was a favorite among my brides for Spring and Fall and by far the most used color scheme. I also saw a lot of the grays, dusty pinks and the still ever popular turquoise. I don’t think turquoise is going anywhere for awhile.

I am very excited to see what color schemes my brides come up with year. Here are few color combinations I put together with the 2012 projected color trends. I am noticing an new trend among my brides of having more than 2 colors in their schemes, which I think is awesome. Some have had up to 4 or 5 colors in their pallets.

My predictions for 2012:

Gone our the traditional black suites. I think we are going to see a lot of grays, browns and kaki.  Your going to see a lot of mason jars, milk glass, burlap and cute DYI wedding projects. Vintage, Shabby Chic colors and themes are here to stay for at least another couple of seasons. Yellow is my favorite new color to think about for 2012. It is vibrant, happy and will give a pop to any color palette. I also love that it can be used successfully in any wedding theme: modern, retro, vintage and shabby chic. Here a few examples of yellow color pallets for 2012.

I know this is such a long post, but Jennifer and Aaron had so many great details at there wedding at The Spring Hill Events Center that I had to share. First of all her bouquet. I have never received so much feed back on a single item. Everyone has just swooned over the pictures of it.  Some of the brooches were family heirlooms and some were pieces she collected from several different stores. She had someone on Etsy assemble the bouquet. Her green silk rosette garters and shoe clips were also purchased from Esty. From all the great details and how beautiful this wedding went together, you would of never guessed Jennifer planned it in just a few short months because Aaron was being re-stationed. Jennifer and Aaron were such a wonderful couple to work with. So happy, giggly and playful. Just spending a few moments with them, you can really see the enduring love these two share for each other. I caught myself tearing up more than once during the wedding. Congrats guys and thank you for letting me share in your wedding day!

Bride commentary:
I envisioned something simple yet creative, with family and friends also putting in their creative touches. The overall color scheme was purple, teal, white, accented with gold and some rustic items. I lined the aisle runner with old keys and once I got to my groom he had a single key on his boutonniere because he holds the key to my heart!! I collected various colors of vintage vases from flea markets and clustered them on the center of tables, some containing a single flower bud and peacock plumes. In the center of alternating tables were candelabras, that have also been collected from various shops. The venue had a wood pergola that we draped fabric to section off a dance floor. The bridal party table had a rustic chandelier hanging from above. For favors were our personal favorite, Haribo gummy bears from Germany, decorated in a gift bag with “Danke” (Thank You) stamped on front.
