He is on the cover of October’s thenbscene.com online magazine. Congrats Guys!  You are a beautiful couple &  I had a wonderful time working with guys to capture this most remembered date! I leave you with a letter Amanda and Matt wrote me after the session.

~Dear Sarah,

Matt and I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to you for your time and effort that put into our engagement pictures. We had a fantastic time!  You were so kind to offer us such a prize. Not only did we have a blast taking the photos, but we also had a blast making our entry into the contest. I got a kick out of Matt the day of our shoot. He said “this must be the best day for you~we went shopping, wen to the salon, and now we are taking pictures together,” and he was right~it was a great day~and a great “date.” Thank you again.

Sincerely,

Amanda & Matt

Clothing Suggestions:
Clothing is very important in a photograph. I recommend wearing layers as much as possible to add interest and texture.  I also recommend clothing with texture, such as chunky sweaters, clothing with ruffles, buttons, ribbon, embroidery, anything that has a grit to it. Accessories can be a great accent to a photograph.  Hats, scarves, fun necklaces, funky boots, tights, etc. really can make a photograph more interesting. Dark jeans are always a good choice and you can pair it with coordinating colors.  Sometimes matching too much can look cheesy, so try to keep each person a little unique but staying within the color scheme.

Store Suggestions:
Old Navy, Gap Kids, JCrew Kids, Etsy.com, Sweet Baby Children’s Boutique in NB has a lot of great boys clothing, matildajaneclothing.com, Hannaandersson.com & teacollection.com

Bride commentary:
I envisioned something simple yet creative, with family and friends also putting in their creative touches. The overall color scheme was purple, teal, white, accented with gold and some rustic items. I lined the aisle runner with old keys and once I got to my groom he had a single key on his boutonniere because he holds the key to my heart!! I collected various colors of vintage vases from flea markets and clustered them on the center of tables, some containing a single flower bud and peacock plumes. In the center of alternating tables were candelabras, that have also been collected from various shops. The venue had a wood pergola that we draped fabric to section off a dance floor. The bridal party table had a rustic chandelier hanging from above. For favors were our personal favorite, Haribo gummy bears from Germany, decorated in a gift bag with “Danke” (Thank You) stamped on front.
